Waldringfield Parish

British Isles Genealogy | County of Suffolk

Waldringfield or Waldingefelda

The author of Magna Britannia makes the demesne of this parish to have been early vested in Robert Bruce; and Mr. Kirby says, "all we have learnt of this little parish is, that Sir Robert Hilton, Knt., was patron in 1305."

The manor and advowson were in the Barnardiston family; in 1704, they were the inheritance of the heirs of Sir Samuel Barnardiston, of Brightwell, Bart.
